The idea that you could use this on a 9000 gallon pond is limited to a pond with no fish and in complete shade. You can't use a pump over about 1800 gph with this filter. I tried to use a larger pump and even figuring for head loss I was only putting in about 2500 gph or less into the filter. It is rated at 3000 gph. It leaked out the top through the o-ring. I was told this was common when I contacted the place I bought it from and to use vaseline on the o-ring. Still leaked, a lot. Make sure you don't have plans to use this on a large pond unless it has no fish and is in complete shade at all times. It is a good filter for a small pond like under 2500 gallons with a small pump. I bought an aqua ultima 2 4000 filter and it holds about 2-3 times the water and they only rate it at 4000 gallons for a pond. Be nice if fishmate could be a little more up front and admit that the 9000 filter is only good for a 2500 pond or less.

I have a lot of problems with algae in my little garden pond - I say little, but it is probably about 750 gallons (three tier with a fountain). I figured what the heck give this a try...I empty half the water out of my pond and put new water in when I inserted this filter...within a week my pond was clear and the fish are loving it...my kids love the blue light that shows at night. I have owned it for 2 months so far and it is doing good. Runs 24/7 and so far so good.

After getting a recommendation from my local pond store I purchased the Tetra Pond Bio-Active Pressure Filter and it is such a treat to NOT have to wash out the sponges from my previous filter. It took about 3 weeks but my pond is clear!!!!

Gravity Models require installation at or above desired outlet level, i.e. at the top of a waterfall. Fish Mate gravity filters are economically priced and feature UV tubes positioned over the water, thus eliminating issues of scaling, quartz tube replacement and frost damage associated with conventional UV clarifiers
This product works just great! The water cleared up in only a few days and was a good value for the product.

For over a year I spent countless dollars on algae control products to clear my 3000 gallon koi pond. I had both a skimmer filter and pressure UV filter, but still had green murky water most of the year. After my first filter (a name brand) started leaking copiously, I bought the Fishmate and installed it. It has only been four days, and already my water is 50% clearer. Every day the water is less green with and has greater clarity. My koi and goldfish are noticeably more active and energetic and I am thrilled. Instillation was a breeze too.I was cynical about filter claims, but this product is wonderful. I expect to have a crystal clear pond within ten days.

For ponds with a maximum surface area of 700 sq. ft.
A very nice skimmer for small to medium sized ponds, or can be doubled up for larger ponds. It has a roomy chamber that will accommodate most pumps. It was easy to install, but I had a little trouble pushing the faceplate assembly through the opening to secure it into place. Once that was done, the rest was a snap. Make sure the bottom is stable on a firm foundation, because the front of it may settle if the ground is soft.My only real complaint would be the leaf "basket". It's simply a cheap plastic pocket at the bottom of the pre-filter mat frame, not even as good as the net baskets on other skimmers. A separate rigid leaf basket with handles would have been much better. Still, for the money, this is a nice skimmer.

Lifegard Aquatics All In One Complete Pond Filter System. For Ponds or Water gardens from 300 gallons up to 1500 gallons.
This filter was very easy to install and is working like a champ. Our pond is only 100 gallons and the filter seems to havelots of power to spare. We have a small waterfall which requires more power and this filter works great.

i was sold a previously opened unit and it was packed with the wrong sized foam. the foam got all beat up and infested the entire unit with tiny foam pieces. all parts were not there. no directions at all. it doesn't work, the slider that allows you to move between cleaning and operational modes is stuck and will not move. you don't answer my emails in anything resembling a timely manner.eventually got a refund.

Our water went from green to crystal clear! I love this. It took several weeks, but once it cleared up it's been that way ever since. I can't believe after all the additives and cleaning and you name it to try and get clear water, that this did the trick.

I installed this filter in a pond that didn't have a filter. It takes out a lot of crud, it was easy to install, and it's pretty easy to maintain. The backwash feature doesn't do much. I disassemble and wash the filters by hand. But the whole operation takes about 30 minutes and uses about 5 buckets of water. No leakage problems, as reported in other review.Biggest problem is that I don't know where to get replacement filter pads.

If you have dabbled in the pond world, then you have found that there is alot of equipment that is made and advertised by Ali Babba and his 40 associates...Pumps and especially filters that claim impossible numbers..Some even say there rating is for a pond with no fish.....Small pressure filters from e bay dont work.they clog and clog.. This filter is an exception.. The manufacture says that it will support over a 200 pound fish load..which is how filters should be rated....It is easy to clean, just turn a handle.. no dirty filters The one draw back is that it requires an external pump..A suggested pump is the ess5200.. Small in the pond pumps have to work too hard.. When installed with a good pump,and UV this filter has kept my pond clear. The price is also very good.. no sale tax too

Finally after years of fighting algae we have a clear pond! It took a couple weeks but it has been perfect since then; we couldn't be happier. We have tried so many different things to clear up our pond and if I had known how well this worked we would have bought it years ago.

I'm EXTREMELY happy with this purchase. Although it's only been a few weeks, this filter works GREAT! I've had my 2000 gal. pond for several years, and after using this filter it's the clearest it's ever been. The filter itself is extremely easy to clean, and the filter media rinses very quickly and easily! 15 minutes, zip,zap, and you're done. Plus the filter media catches stuff I didn't even know was IN the pond! This was one of the best purchases I've ever made! I've set mine up so that I now have 3 waterfalls.

Unique external pressure indicator shows green when filter is performing properly and shows red when filter cleaning is necessary. Meant to be partially buried. Approximate dimensions: 15in x 11in x 11in . Includes built-in 7 watt ultraviolet clarifier to eliminate green water.
After always having a murky pond I was desperate and fortunately found the Alpine Bio-Pure with UV within a few days of installation, I have crystal clear water. I did have to clean the filter every other week since my pond was so bad, this took little effort. Just a little rinsing and it's done. Should have bought this years ago.

This pressure filter plugs upeasily and the bachwash system is inept. Water comes out of the outlets in what ever mode your in. You have to install a shut off valve on the back wash side. See other reviews on line. Too much water and the non gasket top leakes, too little and it is ineffective. I called Tetra and they were of no help. Stating it was an engineering issue.I don't know what is good about this filter unless your pond is pristine with no plants, algae, etc. My money is gone, don't make the same mistake.
